Fun swells this week, though winds look onshore when it's biggest
Southern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 12th November)
Best Days: Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning for beginners, possibly early Thursday (check back Wed), Friday morning, Saturday and Sunday mornings
Recap
Tiny Saturday but into Sunday a new SW groundswell filled in with clean 2ft waves in the morning, building further into the afternoon but with sea breezes.
The swell has eased off into this morning with clean great 2-3ft waves across Clifton, smaller and bumpy this afternoon.

This week and weekend (Nov 13 - 18)
Our current swell will continue to ease tomorrow from a small 1-2ft along with a moderate to fresh N/NW offshore, tending variable into the mid-late afternoon. Wednesday looks tiny but good for beginners.
We've had an upgrade in the swell due Thursday, with a storm forming under WA this afternoon and evening expected to dip south-east more into our swell window while generating a good fetch of W/SW gales, with likely slightly stronger core-wind speeds.
A moderate sized SW groundswell is now due, with it building through Thursday and reaching 3ft across Clifton likely just before lunch and hanging in through the afternoon, easing back from 2ft+ Friday morning.
Unfortunately a strong high moving in from the west will bring S/SW tending S'ly winds on Thursday (outside chance for an early W/NW breeze), while Friday will see better NW winds early ahead of a S/SW change.
Into the weekend small levels of mid-period W/SW swell to 1-2ft are expected, generating by weak but relatively weak polar frontal activity through our swell window later this week and weekend.
Winds look favourable both Saturday and Sunday mornings with average conditions into the afternoons.
Longer term the models diverge so check back here Wednesday for an update on the outlook into next week.
