No change to Thursday’s outlook. The Southern Ocean remains very active, but completely aligned out of our swell window.
Local winds will remain at strength all week, alternating between the west, north-west and north, but with only little groundswells at best there won’t be much to look forward to.
The broad scale pattern looks to change later next weekend as the Long Wave Trough finally slides into our swell window, delivering a little more south in the local wind field but ultimately that’s more than a week away and will require close scrutiny over the coming days.
Until then we’re really not going to see much surf in the South Arm - there’ll probably be a couple of small sneaky window of opportunity as minor distant swells push through, the most promising (as mentioned on Thursday) is probably later Tues/Wed but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
Let’s take closer look on Tuesday to see how things are shaping up. Until then, you’re gonna need to find something else to do!
