This weekend and next week (May 5 - 11)
Tomorrow is expected to remain tiny, with a strong front passing across us this evening generating a weak zonal fetch that isn't expected to produce any size.
Our better swells for later Sunday and Monday morning are still on track, with an initial pre-frontal fetch of W/NW gales due to produce a tiny W/SW swell Sunday morning to 1ft+.
A much better, stronger and broader post-frontal fetch of W/SW gales will produce a better groundswell for later in the day to 2-3ft, easing back Monday morning from 2ft to occasioanlly 3ft.
Winds are now looking favourable all day Sunday and from the W/NW, with N/NW tending NW winds Monday ahead of a mid-late afternoon W/SW change.
This change is expected to bring a spike in SW windswell for Tuesday morning but only to 2ft or so, but with favourable W/NW winds.
Longer term there's a few new swell sources on the cards with a continuation of strong polar frontal activity through the Southern Ocean. This activity looks to occur late week but more on this Monday. Have a great weekend!
