This weekend and next week (Mar 24 - 30)
This afternoon's pulse of inconsistent SW groundswell is due to ease through tomorrow from a small 1-2ft across Clifton but conditions will be clean most of the day with a persistent N/NW breeze lasting until late afternoon.
Sunday will see winds swing from the N/NE to W/NW but with tiny fading surf.
As touched on in Wednesday's update, a strong mid-latitude low is due to move in and across us on Monday, but the morning there'll be no swell and winds offshore.
Late in the day we should see a fetch of strong to near gale-force S/SW winds aimed up into the South Arm, kicking up a late increase in S/SW windswell that will peak Tuesday morning.
Clifton should see 2-3ft sets, easing through the day and winds are still looking a bit dicey and from the W/SW. There's an outside chance for dawn W/NW breezes, but we'll confirm this on Monday.
Longer term we've got some good persistent mid-latitude frontal activity developing next week, but it will all be in our western swell window initial with no major size due until late week, but we'll have a closer look at this Monday. Have a great weekend!
