Best Days: Beginners Saturday morning, Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning

Recap

Tiny surf yesterday with good conditions, similar this morning but with an onshore breeze.

Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This week and weekend (Feb 10 - 16)

Conditions should become cleaner tomorrow, but any S/SE groundswell seen today will fade back, with tiny waves best suited to beginners.

A slight increase in W/SW swell may be seen Sunday to 1-1.5ft though winds are due to be onshore in any case, creating poor conditions.

We then turn our attention to the stronger swells due into the middle-end of next week as the westerly storm track fires up through the weekend and next week.

Initial frontal activity south-west of WA and through the Bight will be too west in nature to make any major impact.

We may see inconsistent 1-2ft sets Tuesday and Wednesday morning with favourable morning offshores, but developments on the tail of the progression and across us later next week look to generate some better swell.

The models are still moving around regarding these pulses, so check back here Monday for a much clearer idea on the surf potential mid-late next week.
