This week and weekend (Jan 4 - 7)
Today's fun pulse of swell is expected to ease back through tomorrow, dropping back from 1-2ft across Clifton with a N/NW breeze, more sea breezey into the afternoon.
We're now set to see a small pulse of W/SW groundswell Friday, generated by a small but OK fetch of W'ly gales moving in from the west today and tomorrow.
From a tiny start we're likely to see sets reach 2ft from mid-late morning, though a morning NW breeze will swing onshore late morning, so don't wait off too long.
Gusty N'ly winds will kick in Saturday but the swell will be fading from a tiny 1-1.5ft.
From Sunday we'll see a flurry of zonal frontal activity moving through our western swell window. While not ideally aligned we should still see small pulses to 1-2ft or so, mainly Sunday afternoon, Tuesday and Wednesday. More on this Friday.
