Onshore surf tomorrow, small to tiny through the weekend
Southern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 15th November)
Best Days: No good days
Recap
Tiny fading surf through yesterday, flat today with nowhere to surf besides the East Coast.
This week and weekend (Nov 16 - 19)
Into this evening a surface trough moving in from the west will bring a S/SE change, holding into tomorrow with gusty S/SE tending SE winds.
There'll be no fetch length far off the coast to generate any decent windswell, with small junky and weak 1-2ft sets due.
Winds will swing more E to E/NE through Friday with fading levels of SE windswell from 1ft or so.
Our small pulse of SW swell for Saturday morning is looking a little suspect, with the weak polar front generating it, not looking that ideal.
We're now likely to see 1-1.5ft sets with an early N/NW breeze, tending N/NE-NE through the day.
A secondary long-range and very inconsistent W/SW groundswell for Sunday is still on the cards, though this was generated in the Heard Island region, in our far swell window.
Very infrequent 1-2ft sets are likely across Clifton Sunday morning with an offshore wind before sea breezes kick in.
Beyond this there's still nothing major on the cards for our region, so check the East Coast forecast for more options.
