Best Days: Saturday morning, early Sunday, Tuesday morning, early Wednesday

Recap

A strong but short-lived pulse of W/SW groundswell came in at 4ft across Clifton yesterday morning, easing into the afternoon and leaving smaller easing 2ft waves this morning.

This weekend and next week (Oct 8 - 14)

Our good new pulse of W/SW groundswell due tomorrow is looking good, with the frontal system generating the swell currently passing under us.

Clifton should offer consistent 2ft+ waves, and 3ft sets are more than likely. The morning will be the cleanest with a light NW'ly ahead of a late morning W/SW change.

Sunday will be clean all day but the swell will ease quickly from 1-2ft.

Now, moving into next week and the swells due across the state are quite tricky.

This is due to an intense low forming to our west being initially to north to generate any major swell.

Into early next week though a fetch of severe-gale W/SW winds will be projected towards us, moving more through our south-western swell window.

No size is due Monday but into Tuesday a good W/SW tending SW swell is due.

Clifton should see 3ft sets, with a better pulse of SW groundswell for Wednesday morning to 3-4ft, easing into the afternoon.

We may see some additional S/SW swell into the end of the week but the models diverge on the structure of the low from Tuesday/Wednesday. Winds for the most part will be strong from the W-W/SW, so not ideal. More on this Monday. Have a great weekend!
