Southern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 13th February)

Best Days: No good days

Recap

Tiny onshore waves yesterday while today was ideal for beginners with an offshore wind and cleaner 1ft of swell.

This weekend onwards (Feb 14 onwards)

The current forecast period looks really average with tiny amounts of swell and poor NE-E/NE winds over the weekend and then better NW winds early next week but no major size.

All the frontal activity will be too far north and out of our swell window to generate any significant swell, with the largest increase due later Monday and Tuesday morning to a possible 1ft+ across Clifton.

The end of the week should see a touch more size to 1-2ft across Clifton, generated by a distant but slow moving polar low south-west of WA over the weekend and early next week.

Winds will should be from the N'th to N/NE each day, favouring more exposed breaks over Clifton.

Longer term there's nothing major on the cards at all, but check back here Monday for another look at this. Have a great weekend!
