Exposed breaks across the state faired best yesterday with stiff offshore winds and a fun sized swell across Margs and Gero. An increase in size was seen through the day ahead of a peak today but conditions were poor with onshore S/SW winds.

This weekend (Dec 13 - 14)

New SW swell and offshore winds tomorrow ahead of a mid-afternoon change. Swell easing into Sunday and Monday with light onshore winds each morning. Good W/SW swell Tuesday and Wednesday with improving winds.

Large easing NW groundswell tomorrow and further Friday as winds improve. New large long-period NW tending N/NW groundswell building rapidly Saturday afternoon, easing Sunday.

A mix of E/NE and smaller SE swell continued to 3ft+ across the coast yesterday morning as winds from the southern quadrant favoured protected southern corners. Today the NE swell was smaller again and with light to moderate NE winds, limiting surfing options.
