Fun mornings down South on the weekend, new W/SW swell from mid-week
South Australian Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 6th April)
Best Days: South Coast Saturday and Sunday mornings, Mid Coast Wednesday afternoon
Recap
Lingering waves to 1-1.5ft across the Mid Coast yesterday with the odd random bigger one and decent conditions most of the day, while the South Coast was a little peaky/lumpy early, cleaning up through the morning before sea breezes kicked in.
Middleton held around the 3ft+ range, and this morning we've got a touch less size with improving conditions down South and 1-1.5ft waves on the Mid.

This weekend and next week (Apr 7 - 13)
We've got a smaller but fun weekend of waves ahead down South, with today's swell due to ease further, slowed by a reinforcing mid-period SW swell tomorrow, dropping Sunday.
Middleton should persist at 2-3ft on the sets, while the Mid Coast looks to hang around 1ft, with easing 2ft waves Sunday off Middleton, tiny on the Mid.
A developing NE wind will create improving conditions from dawn tomorrow with afternoon sea breezes, while Sunday will be straightest with a fresh N'ly wind, tending NW through the morning, W/NW midday ahead of a shallow SW change.
Moving into Monday we're looking at smaller leftover surf with a morning E/NE tending NE breeze, creating OK conditions but with no major size.
Tuesday morning will be clean but tiny with a NW offshore ahead of a S/SW change.
Moving into Wednesday we're due see a good new W/SW groundswell, mentioned last update.
This swell will be generated by a strong polar front projecting towards and then under WA, through our western swell window.
A moderate sized W/SW groundswell should be generated, building through Wednesday and reaching 2ft through the day on the Mid Coast, while the westerly swell is likely to restrict Middleton to 3ft later in the day.
Winds are looking tricky and the models are still divergent on what to expect owing to a surface trough moving in from the west and possibly forming into a mid-latitude low.
This would result in S/SE winds on Wednesday, favouring the Mid Coast, with W'ly winds on Thursday. We'll have to review this again on Monday though.
Have a great weekend!
