Make the most of the next two days
South Australian Forecast (issued Monday 1st December)
Best Days: Tuesday morning, Wednesday
Recap
Saturday was small but OK across the South Coast through the morning with exposed breaks the go for keen surfers getting a warm up before Sunday's swell.
Sunday was excellent with a strong new S/SW groundswell filling in as winds warm offshore winds kicked into gear before strengthening from the NW and swinging onshore through the afternoon as the swell started to ease.
Today the swell is continuing to ease with less than favourable conditions down South with a morning W'ly, while the Mid was a sloppy and poor 1ft or so.
This week (Dec 2 - 5)
There's not much to get excited about this week with small waves suited to only exposed breaks across the South Coast, best through tomorrow and Wednesday mornings.
The swell should be small again tomorrow, with a slight lift in background SW groundswell through the day keeping inconsistent 2ft sets hitting Middleton with 2-3ft waves at Waits and Parsons. The early morning will be smaller though.
This swell should hold a similar size through Wednesday morning before easing off through Thursday
A light NE breeze tomorrow should create clean, peaky conditions, while Wednesday should be straighter with a N/NE wind through the morning, freshening from the W/NW into the afternoon as a weak surface low pushes in from the west.
This low will push across us Wednesday evening and with this we'll see winds swing onshore from the SW through Thursday (possibly early W'ly around Victor) and then remain fresh from the S'th Friday kicking up a weak S'ly windswell.
This weekend onwards (Dec 6 onwards)
Unfortunately there'll be no improvement in the surf department heading into the weekend with onshore E/SE winds persisting Saturday morning with weak levels of S/SE windswell to 2ft or so. A tiny 0.5-1ft wave may be seen on the Mid Saturday, but it'll only be suitable for beginners.
Another surface trough pushing across us Saturday evening will see winds lingering from the S'th before freshening from the S/SW into the afternoon and remaining onshore into early next week.
A couple of better pulses of SW groundswell are on the cards next week, but with the poor winds it's not really worth addressing yet. Check back here on Wednesday for a closer look at the second half of next week.
