Best Days: Tomorrow and Sunday AM

Recap

Tiny teasing waves yesterday and today.

This week and weekend (May 16 - 22)

The only real notable swell for the period still is the new E/NE swell due very late today but more so tomorrow.

This swell has kicked in across the Sydney region slowly through the day (shown right with 3-5ft sets) and we should see it fill in overnight and peak tomorrow. It is very inconsistent though so expected 5-10 minute waits for the sets.

The source of the swell was a good low on top of New Zealand mid-week, generating a fetch of strong to near gale-force E'ly winds just within our swell window.

Inconsistent 2ft sets are expected tomorrow when it peaks with tiny waves in between and offshore NW-N/NW winds all day.

The swell should start to ease from a slow 1-2ft with W'ly offshore winds ahead of E'ly sea breezes.

The swell will become tiny into Sunday afternoon and more so Monday with nothing of significance on the cards until later next week when a strong polar frontal progression may generate some good S'ly groundswell. The models diverge on this though so check back here Monday for more on this. Have a great weekend!
