Slight improvement in surf potential
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 13th May)
Best Days: Saturday northern corners, Sunday morning
Recap
Tiny surf yesterday and similar today.
This week and weekend (May 12 - 17)
With the outlook remaining tiny to flat for the end of the week and weekend, there's one slight improvement on the cards.
A weak low that's formed north of New Zealand yesterday evening is sitting a little further north and more in our swell window than was forecast on Monday and this should produce a small pulse of E/NE swell for Saturday.
The swell may be seen late Friday but Saturday should see inconsistent 2ft sets, fading Sunday from 1-2ft.
Conditions will be OK but not great with strengthening N/NW winds on Saturday, SW tending SE on Sunday.
Following this there's still nothing significant on the cards until possibly later next week/weekend, but more on this Friday.
