Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 9th December)

Best Days: No good days

Recap

The weekend played out on forecast with a good kick in new S'ly swell to 3-4ft on Saturday, a bit better than expected with the source being tricky, holding Sunday and more consistent. Today was good again with the swell clean and easing from 2-3ft.

This week and weekend (Dec 10 - 15)

The S'ly swell seen since late last week is expected to be all but gone tomorrow, and we've got a slight downgrade in the N/NE windswell with the fetch off our coast not as ideal.

A quick burst of patch N/NE winds is on the cards, coming in at 1-2ft max tomorrow, and easing rapidly with poor S/SE tending SE winds in the wake of a trough.

We'll see a weak S'ly windswell behind this trough but with no size at all, fading Wednesday with morning variable tending N winds.

Longer term there's no significant swell on the cards at all so I hope you made the most of the S'ly episode.
