Best Days: South swell magnets tomorrow and Sunday

Recap

Tiny unsurfable waves the last couple of days on the coast.

Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This week and weekend (Jun 13 - 16)

I missed a small S'ly groundswell on Monday, one mentioned in the South Arm notes but not here.

This S'ly groundswell that's due to peak tomorrow was generated by a great fetch of polar W/SW gales in our southern swell window yesterday and should provide fun 2ft+ sets across south swell magnets all tomorrow, tiny to flat again into Friday.

A persistent NW breeze will create great conditions all day.

Following this we've got a fun new S'ly groundswell due Sunday, produced by an intense low forming west of the state, passing under us and generating a fetch of W/SW gales in our southern swell window Friday evening.

Fun levels of S'ly groundswell should spread up and into us from later Saturday but peak Sunday to 3ft+ across south swell magnets.

Persistent NW winds should keep these south facing locations clean all day, similar Monday as the swell eases from a small 1-2ft or so.

Longer term the outlook is a little hazy, but more on this Friday.
