This week and weekend (Apr 25 - 28)
There's no new swell due into the end of the week and we look to the S'ly groundswell pulses due into the weekend and early next week.
We're seeing a series of vigorous frontal systems move across us, but all too zonal in structure to generate any decent size.
Into Friday though a severe low will push across us and on its tail a fetch of gale to severe-gale SW-S/SW winds will be aimed through our southern swell window, generating hopefully some fun S'ly swell for the weekend.
Saturday morning a very acute S'ly swell is due to be in the water, backed up by a better aligned S'ly swell from the S/SW fetch further south of us into the evening though more so Sunday.
South facing beaches should see 3-4ft sets on Saturday, with Sunday's pulse likely a similar size. The surf should then ease back from Monday from a smaller 3ft across south magnets. All other open beaches will be small to tiny with the acute nature of the swells.
Winds look favourable and out of the W/NW on Saturday, W tending W/SW Sunday and then W/NW tending N/NE on Monday.
Beyond this there's nothing too significant on the cards besides a small NE windswell mid-next week, but more on this Friday.
