This weekend and next week (Mar 9 - 14)
Our new S'ly groundswell for tomorrow morning is still on track with a strong and powerful low that moved under us today aiming a fetch of severe-gale to storm-force W/SW winds on the edge of our southern swell window.
The low is positioned a touch further south and more in our swell window than forecast on Wednesday and this should help produce inconsistent 3ft sets on the south magnets, easing steadily through the day.
Unfortunately winds aren't looking great with an early S'ly breeze creating bumpy conditions at those south magnets, shifting SW for a period in some areas and then SE into the afternoon.
Sunday should be cleaner but the swell will be all but gone.
The rest of the period will be void of any surf with a zonal setup through the Southern Ocean.
With this in mind it might be worth trying to surf tomorrow's S'ly groundswell, even though bumpy or checking the South Arm forecast for more options. Have a great weekend!
