Small swells this week and weekend
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 29th October)
Best Days: South magnets tomorrow morning, keen surfers early Friday, Sunday south magnets
Recap
A tiny start to the weekend ahead of a strong to gale-force change and building windswell into the afternoon, peaking overnight and easing from a clean and pumping 3-4ft on Sunday morning.
This morning a reinforcing S'ly swell filled in with a window of clean conditions before winds tended onshore mid-morning.

This week and weekend (Oct 30– Nov 4)
We should see another fun pulse of S'ly groundswell tomorrow morning, a mix of a reinforcing pulse due this afternoon from a front glancing the south-east corner of the state this morning and a longer-range swell from the polar shelf. This swell wasn't aimed as well but we should see fun 2ft waves across south magnets, easing through the day with a N/NW tending W/NW offshore.
Make the most of this little south pulse as we'll see nothing of note until later in the week when a short-lived burst of NE winds develop in our north-eastern swell window.
This went the way of the ECMWF model with the strength and longevity a little lacking, but we should see a small kick in size later Thursday and more so Friday morning to 2ft or so with a strengthening NW wind as a strong cold front pushes across us.
This front will generate a significant fetch of severe-gale to storm-force W/SW winds on the edge of our southern swell window Saturday morning, and with this we should see a fun pulse of S'ly groundswell building very late in the day, but more so offering size Sunday to 2-3ft at south swell magnets with a W/NW offshore.
This swell is a bit of a tricky source so check back here on Wednesday for an update on how it's looking.
