Best Days: Thursday south magnets, early Friday south magnets, Sunday morning open beaches

Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This weekend and next week (Mar 8 - 11)

Tomorrow's S'ly groundswell is on track with a strong polar low pushing through our southern swell window the last couple of days coming up great on satellite observations.

This swell is due to peak early tomorrow to a good 3ft across south magnets with light offshore winds and afternoon sea breezes.

The swell will ease through the day, and our secondary smaller pulse for Friday isn't really on the cards anymore with the low generating it not really forming too favourably.

We'll instead see fading 1-2ft sets across magnets with morning NW offshore.

Moving into the weekend only minimal amounts of E'ly swell likely off a strong south-east ridge through the Tasman Sea to 1-2ft Sunday.

Into early next week we're likely too see a strong frontal system pushing up past us early next week. We may see some fun S'ly swell Tuesday to 3ft or so with varying winds, but more on this Friday.
