South pulse Sunday, fading Monday
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 11th August)
Best Days: Sunday afternoon south magnets, early Monday
Recap
A fun pulse of SE swell yesterday with 2-3ft sets across south magnets with offshore winds, fading right back this morning to a tiny 1ft.
This weekend and next week (Aug 12 - 18)
Tomorrow is still expected to be tiny but a polar front pushing up from below us will bring a S'ly change overnight Saturday, followed with some good S'ly swell Sunday.
South facing beaches should build to a good 3ft through the day and winds will do an about face, swinging from W/SW during the morning, variable through the day ahead of a fresh N/NE'ly. This should favour protected south magnets into the afternoon.
The swell will fade Monday from 2ft across south magnets with offshore N/NW tending W/NW breezes.
This will be it for the forecast period with no new swell expected until later next week.
This may be in the form of a good S'ly swell from a strong cold-outbreak, but more on this Monday. Have a great weekend.
