Best Days: South magnets Thursday, Friday morning and early Saturday for leftovers

Recap

A good new S'ly groundswell provided 3ft good waves across swell magnets yesterday morning, easing through the day and back to a small 1-2ft this morning.

A new mix of S'ly swells are due to build through today, but early offshore winds have since shifted S'ly, creating poor conditions at spots seeing any size.

This week and weekend (Jul 27 - 30)

This afternoon's S/SW swell will ease back into tomorrow, only to be replaced by some better S'ly swell, generated by a great fetch of strong S'ly winds projecting up towards us over the past couple of days.

We should see south facing beaches reaching 3ft through tomorrow, easing off slowly Friday from the 3ft range in the morning.

Conditions look great for south facing locations with a W/NW tending fresh N'ly breeze tomorrow and a W'ly tending S/SW breeze Friday (so get in through the morning).

Into the weekend there's nothing significant on the cards with a tiny mix of easing S'ly swell and building N/NE windswell in the 1ft to maybe 2ft range.

A strong westerly change will then kick in Sunday, killing off any remaining swell.

Longer term we may see some small S'ly swell into the middle of next week, but more on this Friday.
