Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 31st October)

Best Days: Sunday

Recap

Nothing major Saturday but Sunday solid levels of NE windswell started to develop down the coast, becoming large into the afternoon as winds swung offshore late.

Today there was still plenty of size around with pumping easing surf under all day offshores. Make the most of the easing surf though, as the coming period looks void of any major activity.

This week and weekend (Nov 1 - 6)

Unfortunately there's nothing significant at all on the charts for this week across our coast, with the storm track being too zonal to generate any major surf.

Into Sunday though a strong cold outbreak pushing across us will see a fetch of SW gales projected north-east through our southern swell window.

While not ideally aligned we should still see good sets to 3ft if not possibly 4ft at south swell magnets with W/NW winds. The swell will fade quickly through Monday with nothing too major for next week. More on this Wednesday though.
