Best Days: Thursday and Friday

Recap

Small hints of S'ly swell yesterday afternoon and this morning but not really worth chasing.

This week and weekend (Oct 13 - 16)

At the moment a relatively weak but favourably tracking polar front is pushing up past our coast, generating a fetch of strong S/SW winds.

The swell from this front has been downgraded a touch due to it being a touch weaker than forecast Monday.

Still we should see south facing beaches coming in around 3-5ft tomorrow morning, with smaller 2ft+ waves at open beaches.

The swell will start easing late, down further from 3ft Friday morning and tiny Saturday.

Conditions tomorrow will be clean early with a W/SW breeze, tending variable before NE sea breezes kick in. Friday should then see W/NW tending NE winds.

The N/NE windswell possible for Sunday isn't really on the cards anymore with winds due to be too north and even north-northwest, resulting in no considerable size across our coast.

Longer term there's still nothing too significant on the cards, so make the most of the coming days S'ly swell.
