OK easterly swell building tomorrow, fading Sunday
Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 2nd September)
Best Days: Later Sunday protected breaks, early Sunday
Recap
Clean small easing NE windswell from 1-2ft yesterday morning, while today is tiny with bumpy conditions from a weak S'ly wind.
This weekend and next week (Sep 3 - 9)
We've had a slight upgrade in the E/SE swell due across the coast tomorrow afternoon, with the deepening low moving offshore this evening and tomorrow aiming a longer-lived fetch of E/SE winds in our swell window.
The morning is expected to be tiny and maybe around 1-1.5ft with a light W/SW breeze, but an afternoon kick to 2-3ft is due as winds freshen from the S/SW from the western flank of the low.
The low will move off quick to the south-east resulting in a rapid drop in swell Sunday from 1-2ft at dawn, tiny later. Conditions will be clean though with W/NW offshores.
For the rest of the period into next week, the storm track will be too zonal for us to see any decent size at all.
Into later next week we could see a sizeable N/NE windswell developing for us, but more on this Monday. Have a great weekend!
