Nothing significant until late next week
Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 17th April)
Best Days: Monday south swell magnets, later next week
Recap
Gradually fading SE swell from 1-2ft yesterday morning and then flat this morning.
This weekend and next week (Apr 18 - 24)
Tomorrow will remain flat and into Sunday a weak S'ly change up the coast may produce a small and weak increase in S'ly windswell but only to 2-3ft across south facing beaches and with onshore S'ly winds.
The swell should then ease through Monday from a small 2ft+ across south swell magnets under a light morning W/NW breeze ahead of afternoon sea breezes.
Into the rest of the week there's nothing too major on the cards until Thursday/Friday.
During the middle of next week an intense East Coast Low is forecast to form off the Southern NSW Coast and if it forms south enough, we could see some NE swell spreading down into us from an infeed of E'ly gales on the southern flank of the low.
The models are still divergent on the formation of this low though, so check back here Monday for a clearer idea on what's expected later next week. Have a great weekend!
