Easing swell over the period
Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 13th April)
Best Days: Tuesday morning, Wednesday, early Thursday for small leftovers
Recap
Small fun and clean 2ft waves easing through Saturday while Sunday started out tiny ahead of a late and strong kick in new S'ly groundswell.
This S'ly groundswell peaked this morning with large waves in the 6ft range across exposed breaks under morning offshores. A drop should have been seen this afternoon with weak sea breezes.
This week (Apr 14 - 17)
This morning's large S'ly groundswell should continue to drop through tomorrow as the direction tweaks S/SE and then SE into Wednesday.
South facing beaches should still be offering 3-5ft sets, smaller into the afternoon and then further down from 2-3ft Wednesday morning, fading from 1-2ft Thursday.
Winds will be best early each morning with a NW tending fresh N/NE wind tomorrow and NW all day Wednesday. Thursday should then see offshore W/SW winds ahead of a shallow S/SE change into the afternoon.
Unfortunately for the rest of the period there's nothing too significant on the cards with the westerly storm track kicking back into gear, generating W/SW groundswells for the South Arm. We'll have another look at this on Wednesday though.
