Small but rideable tradeswell on the radar for next week
Central QLD Forecaster Notes by Steve Shearer (updated on Fri Nov 15th)
This weekend and next week (Nov15-Nov 22)
Central QLD: Small but rideable tradeswell on the radar for next week
Still tiny and onshore.
No change to the outlook with tiny, possibly just rideable surf continuing over the weekend.
We should see an increase in SE winds across the Coral Sea through Sun, leading to a small increase in surf into Mon and holding Tues before easing Wed.
Better signs ahead as a stronger high approaches Tasmania later next week, building a stronger ridge and a better tradewind coverage in the Coral Sea from Wed. This should see a much better surf pattern for CQ through the second half of next week, possibly even sizier if a trough forms in the Coral Sea.
Pencil in some rideable waves from Thurs next week.
Check back Mon and see how it’s looking and until then, have a great weekend!
