Central QLD Forecaster Notes by Steve Shearer (updated on Wed Oct 30th)

This week and next week (Oct30-Nov 8)

Central QLD: Nothing on the radar- tiny/flat surf for a while

Tiny/flat to just rideable.

We’re still looking at a fairly bland synoptic pattern with a weak, troughy environment in the Tasman, undergirded by zonal frontal activity well to the south. Weak winds in the Coral Sea are holding tiny surf across the CQ exposed coasts, expected to go flat into the weekend.

Next week sees another weak high in the Tasman and weak winds in the Coral Sea. There may be just enough coverage to see some just rideable surf from Mon, but we are talking knee high at best.

Very subdued Coral Sea may offer up some tiny surf next week
