This week and next week (July24-Aug 2)

Central QLD: Small fun waves into the weekend

Breaking on low tides from today.

Rideable sets

Lovely settled conditions at the moment with a broad area of high pressure in the Tasman and a broad but weak tradewind fetch just moving into a better position S and SW of New Caledonia. That will see some small E/NE swell develop through the end of this week into the weekend.

Tradewinds near New Caledonia supply small fun waves with a wait for sets

Expect rideable fun waves on low tides tomorrow , Friday and into the weekend.

Small trade swell extends into Sat, easing Sun before a major winter-calibre front and low brings a very sizey S swell event and surf goes tiny/flat north of Fraser/K’gari.

Check back Fri for the latest.
