This weekend and next week (Nov10-Nov17)

Central QLD: Fun tradewind swell slowly eases after this weekend

Still some fun waves around.

Fun ones on low tide

No great change to the f/cast. A large (1030hPa) high near New Zealand is continuing to direct tradewinds through the Coral Sea, with the New Caledonia region being the strongest wind area. That will see surf hold in the 2 occ. 3ft range over the weekend.

Into next week and we'll see the tradewind fetch contract eastwards with surf slowly easing into next week. Mon should be surfable, becoming marginal into Tues and the rest of next week.

Further ahead a strong high moving into the Tasman before straddling NZ next weekend also looks to build E/SE winds in the Northern Tasman suggesting another round of E'ly  tradewind swell later next weekend.

We’ll see how it all looks on Mon, until then, have a great weekend!
