Central QLD:  Tradewinds bring a surf pattern from Thurs

Tiny waves and onshore N’ly winds have continued since Mon.

No change to the outlook. A large high moves into the Tasman and strengthens as it drifts towards New Zealand. The resultant E/SE tradewind flow which develops through the Coral Sea during Thurs should see workable surf develop across CQ, favouring lopen coasts in the Burnett region. We should see fun surf persist through Fri and Sat before the trade flow becomes disrupted and surf eases Sun.

Developing trade flow Thurs sees surf increase

Good news the next high is even stronger and sets up a SE surge Mon which should see surf rebuild late Mon into Tues. Under current modelling winds then extend across the Coral Sea and look to supply surf through most of next week.

Check back Fri and we'll see how it's shaping up.
