Exposed spots the go over the coming period
Java, Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Tue 25th November)
Best Days: Every day over the coming period at swell magnets
This week and weekend (Nov 26 - 30)
Our large out of season swell seen the last few days is now on the ease with light variable winds each morning favouring most breaks.
We'll continue to see the swell dip away through the week and become small to tiny across most spots, with exposed breaks the only option from tomorrow through the rest of the period.
There's nothing significant at all on the forecasts charts and background levels of swell will keep very infrequent 3ft+ sets hitting swell magnets around Bali. Winds will be favourable for these spots though and generally variable ahead of weak SE trades each afternoon.
Next week onwards (Dec 1 onwards)
Some slightly better S/SW groundswell is due next week across the region as a few relatively weak polar fronts push up from the Heard Island region towards Western Australia from today through the weekend.
An initial pulse is due Monday ahead of a secondary increase Wednesday afternoon, peaking Thursday morning with both coming in at an infrequent 3ft to occasionally 5ft at exposed breaks.
From here onwards there's nothing major at all with the surf due to become tiny into the following week. This is the result of a large blocking pattern setting up across the Indian Ocean, but we'll confirm this on Thursday.
