Best Days: Every day over the coming period, exposed spots from Tuesday

This week and weekend (Oct 24 - 26)

After a fun couple of days of surf, the swell is really waning away today with slow waves across most spots, but still the odd fun set at exposed breaks.

Tomorrow's swell is still on track but it may be 6 or so hours behind forecast, with the swell arriving in WA a similar time behind schedule. So if there's not much size on offer at dawn, don't panic, a strong pulse should occur through the late morning ahead of a peak into evening. Exposed spots in Bali should offer easy 6ft sets by dark before easing from the 6ft range Saturday morning and further down through Sunday (bottoming out into the evening).

Winds should be light and variable each morning across selected locations over the coming few days, although least likely Sunday morning as E/SE trades strengthen.

Next Monday onwards (Sep 27 onwards)

Next week will see similar pulses of moderate sized S/SW groundswell across the region as a series relatively weak polar fronts continue to push through our southern swell window between Heard Island and Western Australia.

The best pulse is due Monday, peaking through the afternoon, coming in at the inconsistent 6ft range across exposed breaks again in Bali. This swell should ease into Tuesday ahead of another swell during Wednesday afternoon, to the 4-6ft range, holding Thursday.

A slight drop in size is due Friday ahead of the final pulse later in the day and Saturday, easing slowly into the first week of November.

Winds are expected to back off into next week and become light and variable everywhere each morning from Tuesday with weak E/SE trades into the afternoon.

This will open up exposed breaks for business, and allow surfers to get the most out of each swell.
