This week and weekend (Oct 17 - 19)
Tuesday's large swell held solid into yesterday morning, but is now backing off across the region with exposed spots the pick with light morning winds.
The new pulse of inconsistent S/SW groundswell due Friday and then Saturday are still on track, with exposed spots around Bali due to push back to the 6ft range tomorrow, with the odd bigger bomb set in the mix through Saturday.
A slow drop in size is then due from midday Sunday, backing off further into Monday morning.
Winds should remain favourable with light variable breezes through the morning and then moderate to fresh SE trades into the afternoons, strengthening into Monday and becoming gusty Tuesday.
Next Monday onwards (Sep 20 onwards)
Our better pulse of S/SW groundswell due later Monday and Tuesday morning is still on track with the polar frontal progression firing up in the Heard Island region and pushing north-east towards WA playing out nicely.
This swell will be really inconsistent but should pulse to 6ft+ later in the day Monday across exposed breaks and then peak early Tuesday to 6ft to occasionally 8ft. A drop in size should be seen through the afternoon and further through Wednesday, bottoming out Thursday 3-4ft.
Fresh and gusty E/SE trades on Tuesday should back off along with the swell into the end of the week and become more variable into Friday and the weekend.
Besides a moderate sized + pulse of S/SW groundswell Friday and Saturday there's nothing too major on the cards at all with a couple of background SW groundswells on the cards but nothing too any major size. Therefore make the most of the coming swells!
