Get in across the beaches today and tomorrow ahead of a poor, windy period of surf.
Tomorrow won't be great but Friday should see improving surf on the beaches.
The current strong swell will ease today, with smaller, weaker swells with deteriorating winds and conditions due this period. There should be a couple of windows to the east.
There's been an improvement in the wind forecast for the weekend with a large S/SW groundswell still due.
Another large groundswell is due on the weekend, generated by a 'bombing' low though winds will be mostly poor.
The coming forecast period is overactive swell wise, but winds will be tricky to work around.
The run of favourable surf on the exposed beaches will come to an end on the weekend, with building swell and workable winds for protected spots due from Sunday.
Fun pulses of swell with favourable morning winds will pad out the end of the week. Plenty of swell is due next week but with dicey winds.
There'll be windows of surf across both regions but with generally small surf as troughy weather dominates. More size is due from Sunday but with deteriorating winds.
