Watch: Kelly Slater on the Joe Rogan Experience
Kelly Slater and Joe Rogan are two guys mixed up in the whole MMA scene, so sit 'em down with microphones and you're gonna get a whole lotta fight talk. Which is exactly what happens in this episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. Me, I can take or leave that shit...mostly leave it in fact, but in this case it's worth tolerating it as the two intersperse the conversation with various, and often times unexpected, observations.

Thank you for saving me that 2 hours of my precious life with your index.
I like listening to joe he has a lot of interesting guests. I didn’t mind this one except kelly comes across as not so much a listener but a talk over you kind of guy to get his story across. He also drops a few too many names for my liking.
Glad they were putting the boot into seaworld
Dolphins in Government will stop world poverty.
@1:56:55, Slater talks about getting rid of "mucoid plaque through "colon cleansing".
Practicing physicians have dismissed the concept of mucoid plaque as a hoax and a "non-credible concept". A pathologist at the University of Texas School of Medicine addressed the claims directly, saying that he has "seen several thousand intestinal biopsies and have never seen any 'mucoid plaque.' This is a complete fabrication with no anatomic basis."
"Many such "colon cleansing" products are promoted to the public on websites that have been described as making misleading medical claims. The presence of laxatives, bentonite clay, and fibrous thickening agents in some of these "cleansing agents" has led to suggestions that the products themselves produce the excreted matter regarded as the plaque."
Interesting that such a shrewd guy is into stuff like that.
Slatts should move to Byron, he'd fit right in.
I like Kelly but i think he is a bit prone to believing things that have been debunked, but hey no ones perfect.
Sound like you know a bit. Have You formed your opinion from experience?
My experience with colon cleansing was after eating some dodgy street food in Hong Kong.
I shat through the eye of a needle for two weeks and toilet paper quickly became out of the question - it was just a matter of hanging my arse in the shower.
Never before had one man been so afraid to take a shit.
Or, if you're talking about my experience with Byron people, that's another story.
But, as experienced by an ex, if you want to do vaginal de-armouring with Spinning Coyote, I can point you in the right direction.
I shit you not.
All this talk about animals in cages but "Hey Joe!" Why not ask Kelly of his Pet Pool Rules.
Guys are keen on cock wrestling in cages whilst advocating for free range animal antics.
Should free swimming Pet porpoise be prohibited from pool parks YES/NO?
Think long and hard before you answer! Clue..gets less easy to answer as time marches on.
Lucy Pet's Gnarly Crankin K9 Wave Maker (It's a thing!) A mobile wave pool for pet Dogs.
Other wave pools are allowing Dogs to Surf but Pet Porpoise are prohibited from surfing.
Strange as Dolphins are wave smarter and also need to surf more than Surfer Dude's Dogz.
I've often said that you can't justify Wave Pools all while Pet Porpoise go without waves.
Caged kids are entitled to equal health care same goes here. Caged Dolphins need waves.
One day a wealthy surfer dude will come along and open his Wave Park to all surf creatures.
KSWC: All animals + Pets are Prohibited.Leashed Service dogs to rest in seated area...Only!
Unlike mean 'ol Seaworld... Kelly refuses any Pool time at all for chained up Ranch critters.
No! Not even a quick splash in a Doggy Bath...Not sure of Water drinking bowl refills.
Alternate: US navy do train Dogs in Wave Pools. Kelly's Pool would earn top dollar!
KSWC US navy Pet Porpoise Surf School.."hey surfer dude, where's your Tsunami button!"
5.4.3.2.1 *!**~<~v~^~>~v~~/C..~[ usa )Love the smell of roast Dolphin in the morning Serge!
Looks like KS is starting to believe his own shit
Already have weekly podcasts...
Don't need to hear all of Roberts stories or opinions .
Although Would be interesting to hear his thoughts on diet/fasting Sober talk would be interesting .
Given his fathers history with alcohol, how he feels about featuring in advertisements/ commercials. Stating that he
" loves beer"
Alcoholism and such....
Not a fan of mma at all.....so I will skip all of that...
Thank you.
It's better than Heat Analyzer with that time index. Rogan vs Slater in the final and you can cut straight to the action.
Couldn't get through it. Boring.
I think the last 5 minutes pretty sums up that interview,, he's full of shit.
Greatest surfer ever but a massive flog. 2hr of him and Rogan - No Thanks !
Like eavesdropping on two kids who have found a mixed up Top Trumps deck.
Before this interview i always thought i could listen to Kelly talk about anything, but I'm having trouble getting through this one and I'm only picking the bits that interest me which isn't much, there is some good bits (gems) in there but lots of rubble to dig through too.
Interesting how they can jump from free the whales to let's kill elk and bears for fun.
KS to compete in Hawaii because its good to get it to yourself with just one or two others LOL
I only surfed in the Pond Event so I could say I was the first person to catch the first wave ( I thought that was because his low ranking)
I'm the oldest person on the world tour (um technically you are about to not be)
Also for a man who has access to some of the best medical care he seems to love a fad and the nutters inventing cures for diseases that don't exist.
Colon detoxification or, sometimes, cleansing is one of those strange alternative medicine ideas that hangs around without one single bit of evidence supporting it.

Apart from vaginal de-armouring with a guy called Spinning Coyote, the Byron ex was also into chem trails. And anti-vacc theory. And the idea that the sun doesn't cause cancer, sunscreen does.
Another Byron acquantaince is convinced that Hitler fled to Antarctica after WW2 in a submarine and established a base there.
She also believes that pyramids built by aliens are being uncovered in the Antarctic as snow and ice melt with global warming.
The photos prove it.
The rich tapestry that is life...
Whoa Andy, that first phrase almost needs its own disclaimer! (I pledge I will not google this.)
Re: the sunscreen/cancer, if it's oil based and you don't apply every 2 hours a top up as they advise, the sunscreen sinks into the skin, then reflects the light into skin above, increasing exposure. Cancer Council got into trouble last year? I've switched to all zinc based as it just forms a physical block. Watch the chemical makeup of it as well...
But yeah, my mind almost ticks over enough to fit in in Byron. If only I looked the part.
Check out my post in the climate change thread where Volkswagen got busted for beaming energy into the sky from particle cannons to break up clouds to save their cars from hail, and local farmers complained for lack of rain for crops. Legit.
Yeah VJ, there are little grey areas in the sunscreen discussion but still, there is definitive evidence that sun exposure contributes to the risk of skin cancer and also that regular use of sunscreen has been proven to reduce the risk of common skin cancers.
The issue is pretty close to home for me, maybe two years ago, the (Byron Shire) sister took her two young kids on Christmas holidays to the beach.
The youngest is blonde-haired, blue-eyed and fair skinned.
He got roasted one day and the skin on his face peeled in a sheet.
A day or two later he went out again and got roasted - the new pink skin peeled in a sheet to reveal even redder new skin.
At the very least, if people don't like sunscreen, there's always a hat and a shirt.
I find the psychology behind this thinking fascinating - yes it's good to question, but at what stage do you accept (or not) overwhelming evidence, or conversely choose to believe ideas with zero evidence?
Intriguing.
And these people tend to have a pathological hatred of Trump's methods.
Such interesting times.
So are you saying that VW is part of HAARP? ;)
In agreement on the sun exposure.
At what stage accept/not accept? I dunno, finance has taught me to 'cui bono', look at who benefits particular moves and particular headlines. Research can be weighted either way on an issue (I asked chief scientist at work once, 'What do these results mean?" - He replied "What do you want them to mean?" and this was an ICP-MS, nothing as complex as our big climate issues).
VW as part of HAARP, um, no. But the the existence of particle cannons has now been reported by the Financial Times. Haarp is radio waves into ionosphere (heating it?)? These are firing particles to dissipate cloud directly? A lot of it is new to me.
The Sun exposure topic is a weird one. None of my surf mates have had issues, 95% of people i know that have had stuff cut out are office workers or indoor tradies.
