Flag this one for lunchtime or late night viewing. Queensland's surfing history told in a 50 minute documentary with incredible archive footage and interviews with all the main players.
Only had time to flick through it, great to see this kind of Vid but could have put a lot more actually surfing in there.

Great vid, agree with more surfing footage.... Rail turn @ 1min ...imagine trying to put one of those planks on rail like that.

I was saving this to watch tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it.
As a Queensland surfer who began in the early 80's and have surfed practically every square inch of coast from Agnes to the border, the names that I'd long forgotten was such a blast.
Looking at that warm blue water kind of made me homesick right now. Don't miss the crowds though:)
Thanks for putting this up SN.

Hmm, during the 70s, I'm sure a qlder or 2 won a world title... Could've made more about that...... Wasn't a qlder crowned as first ever world pro champ? Anyway.... Some great archival footage....

As said, some classic footage and an overall good rundown of the States history.
Interestingly, no mention of Butto, Guy Ormerod, Sammy Watts, Jamie Kasdaglis and NPJ...just to name a few.

Anyone seen 'livewire' the Guy Ormerod story ?
