Matt Warshaw has pieced together a nice little write up and video about Slater's Pipe Masters record over at the Encyclopedia of Surfing.

"Gabe, Mick, John John, Father Time, a broken toe, wildcards, closeout sets, broken boards, on and on. There are six-dozen chambers of death between here and another Masters victory for Slater. He will need to bend or break a few laws physics to make it happen. More is required now, at age 42, than at any other time in his career."

At every other spot he has thruster, (possibly with channels?)

Ive never seen him with a channel bottom before, regarding quads or thrusters, he swaps around a lot, even from heat to heat, but seems he tends to favour riding quads in the heavy hollow lefts, like Pipe, Fiji, Tahiti.

Heres a good read on Kelly's current Hawaiian quiver, or at least a few boards, but from my experience on these articles he almost always ends up ridding totally different boards than the ones often pictured.

The 6'8 x18 3/4 jumps up to 2 5/8 in thickness ,big jump in foam, all are narrower than I would have thought.
