Hung at Manly
What is Hung?
Hung is a collaborative photo exhibition with eight of the leading surf photographers from the Northern Beaches. However the exhibition doesn’t have a theme so each photographer has created their own series of their favourite work.
How did it come about?
We started talking about Hung about six months ago over a burger and now we're ready to hang. It was never our intention to be financially driven, but more an excuse put on a night that we would enjoy with an epic bunch of mates (and beer). As such we're all amped for Thursday night - the opening night - so feel free to pop in and have a beer with us.
What photographers are being hung?
If you haven’t heard of at least one of the guys you have probably been living under a rock (or you don’t have instagram). Alen Zvokelj, Alex Marks, Ian Bird, Jason Corroto, Jimmy Raper, Matt Dunbar, Murray Fraser and Steve Wall. Each photographer has a different style and interest in what they shoot. For example on one side of the spectrum you have Steve Wall who is a household name in the bodyboarding industry, that has put forth some incredible action shots of heaving slabs. Then on the other hand you have guys like Jason Corroto and Jimmy Raper that have travelled the globe to bring you some mind boggling landscapes from South America to New Zealand… so expect quite a diverse range of shots.
