Duke's Day at Freshwater: See World Champion tandem surfer Chuck Inman and hear Phil Jarratt
This coming weekend we move one year closer to the 100 year celebration of Duke Kahanamoku’s display of surfing and the spirit of Aloha he brought with him at Freshwater Beach, Sydney, in the summer of 1914/1915.
As Australia approaches 100 years since Duke’s visit to Australia in the summer of 1914/1915 the reality is that surfing in 2014 is one of Australia’s largest participant sports/pastimes for men and women of all ages. Times have radically changed and who would think that surfing is now mainstream?
Four time World Tandem Surfing Champion, and current 2013 World Champion, Chuck Inman, will be at Freshwater this weekend for the 2014 Duke’s Day. Chuck will be teaching Tandem Surfing at Freshwater Beach Saturday morning from 10am. All invited at no cost. Chuck is available for media enquiries and is travelling from Waikiki, Hawaii, for the event.
You can hear Chuck Inman with Phil Jarratt this coming Friday evening at Freshwater SLSC Aloha & Cocktail night which commences at 6pm, Freshwater Beach. Hula dancers, Ukulele’s too.
All invited, no cost, and drinks at club prices - Aloha shirts and Hawaiian dress code compulsory!
Saturday will see Chuck teach Tandem Surfing to anyone wanting to learn from the worlds very best at Freshwater Beach and a whole lot more from 10am at Freshwater.

No! Look up chuck!
Gotta be a limerick there somewhere.
There was an old man from Freshwater
Who became quite concerned 'bout his daughter
She was surfing together
With a man in all weather
And revealing much more than she oughta.
gonna be a good weekend to test my new drone camera..........
