Watch: Fire At The Bluff
In the battle of the Shippies clips, here's Kyron Rathbone's entry. Worth noting that Kyron had his edit finished two days after the swell, though for various reasons we've only run it now.
Usually his clips are filled with acoustic guitars and uplifting lyrics, most often supplied by Dusty Rusty. This time around, however, Kyron's tossed out the soul food and he's throwing the horns. Though for all the double-kick drums and guitars that go up to 11, there's continuity of a kind: The music is courtesy of Dusty Rusty's brother.
As Kyron said, "Talented family, that one."
Fun edit. Don't take it too seriously.

Wonderful clip Kyron and loved the horns, thank you . . .
Was watching the carnage around the 5 min mark and starting to think maybe these guy's are human, then at 5:28 Shaun Manners goes other worldly. I know he has talent, but that was unbelievable feel - hanging on by the skin of his toes.
Great edit! enjoyed start to finish, hands above head 'Viking clapping style'
Killer clip with a killer soundtrack \m/
Unreal clip, good music, some fresh angles, but to me Tim won this round.
That was great
Sick clip Kyron.
Reason for not running it earlier....... Swellnet deal with Bonython. Blowins regulating even the clips coming out of the place.
Guess it might sound like that but it's not quite right.
Tim told me he had a clip, I said I'd run it. Had nothing to do with 'being first' or whatever, I didn't even know other clips were being made. When Kyron sent his I felt obliged to wait till Tim's arrived simply because of what I said.
I understand the feelings out there, but at the same time I don't really care: I made a promise, so I stuck by it.
I also spoke to Kyron about it and he, in his own irreverent way, acknowledged my gesture.
Truth is I like running edits from both those guys.
Loved that the sound track from the water microphone was included
And not sorry it didn’t include 5 minutes of people looking at forecasts, packing bags, getting in and out of cars planes and boats
And hi giving in the car park or boat ramp
That was refreshing
Great Stuff, loved seeing it at normal speed instead of SLO-MO, and from a water cam
Shows how much more hectic it is
Sick clip, much grungier version of the session.
Just guessing the crew that walk in and hang there are the locals / paddlers mostly?
Hectic tow throughs
Ah that was just visceral. Awesome use of music with enough captured sound to just add to the stoke. Ripper editing. So so so good. And totally different from Tim's vids.
Sick clip Kyron! Loving the many angles - super refreshing.
Madmen!
10x better than Bonito's edit in my humble opinion
