Watch: Indonesian Motorcycle Diaries // Episode Three - Striking Gold
It's been awhile since Tom De Souza dropped his last instalment of the Indonesian Motorcycle Diaries.
Six months to be precise, time that Tom spent getting back to Australia, driving across the continent, then, explains Tom, "re-establishing a sense of permanence and stability."
Permanence and stability assured, helped along by a grant from DFAT, Tom's finished Part 3 and it's the culmination of the other chapters. Meeting the locals, putting in the hard yards, all to score two days of quality uncrowded waves.

Lucked out there - my good mate surfed the same wave with 4 boats plus all the land campers last season. Put me off ever going back, though this changed my mind again. Glad you scored Tom!
I think it’s up the reef from where you’re thinking dan , heading there later this year .
Double post
is this sumba ?
Yeah Tom that was sic!!
omg the wave at 2 mins... what could have been...
Great vid.
Cool track too. Haven't heard that in years.
I couldn't believe it was Dire Straits.
Loved the sound so went looking for the artist, much surprised on discovering it was Knopfler and co.
Saw them in Brisbane on their brothers in arms tour , brilliant concert, open air at the old QE2 stadium, full moon and every star shining, about 40,000 people I think , got a ticket for $20 . https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/dire-straits/1986/queen-elizabeth-stadium...
Jealous you got to see them at the peak of their powers. What a set-list.
I was there too. First year out of high school. I was beyond the nose-bleed section but it was a killer concert.
Hordern Pavilion for me.
Yeah, cool track and cool vid.
Dire Straits Single Fin ... Great Vid.
What a piece of art! No explanation needed. Impeccable use of slo-mo and what a song. Onya Tom!
Best clip ever, real surfing, great song, and the trip maker closing wave.
