Watch: Aileen and Nick
It's an all British Isles* edit with local Irish surfers pulling in at Aileens - see Gearoid McDaid at 2:25 and Fergal Smith at 2:45 - with dead English crooner Nick Drake providing the backing track for a sunny spring day.

Bit of an adventure that place, how's the paddle in? Also got one of the 2 sunny windless days that that coast gets a year. Lucky fellas.
Nice angle, but shame its a BBer filming as there's more rail spray in the shot.
That was good. Those Irish surfers seem to have a great positive vibe. Great to walk the goat track to the launch spot.
That was very enjoyable. Such a beautiful location.
Pot of gold
Reckon I would have come unstuck just on the walk down. Gorgeous when it looks like that though. Bit hard on Nick D, perfect for that clip and more than a crooner.
Loved it.
Too perfect for a Surf Flick
tbb felt the vibe but is also to weak to make that trek.
Have never surfed with a basher that would walk over rubbish as if it weren't there!
Crew would ever clear debris from a walkway or shoreline...so why not here?
Must be more to this story as to why that pile of debris is left to kill local wildlife.
C'mon...that lot is not too heavy or awkward to haul out ...
A little tricky up that tight trail...but if not them, then why film walking over it twice.
swellnet ran a recent similar story at Shipsterns where surfers leave broken boards.

Rather than pose & smile whilst modelling the debris! Can't believe they did that!
tbb does his bit, but is least able to assist - would imagine it goes a bit like this...
Thread 2 Floats thru Leg Ropes & 2 rope coils over shoulders tucked into Wetties.
2 x 6ft poles can be roped to boards or dual shouldered...no! Not easy & needs skill.
At very least, all can be cleared above tide line as a lazy option to save critters..
Respecting yer Local is first last & Always...Yes! Checking, before or after... (Clean it!)
This gem of a Video is equally perfect as to stereotype surfie bums yet again! Wot?
Wouldn't show that vid without informing that "Star Billing" debris was salvaged!
Recommend a part 2 "Clean Up" ...would then make Part 1 as perfect as it should be!
Love the laid back track / Vid / Surf Stoke, hate seeing crew walk over rubbish...twice!
Ya gotta luv the whole lot...or don't bother rockin' up...unwritten Locals Only Rule!
Seriously...we don't need to write that down do we...please [VOTE] (No) in the [POLL].
tbb expects to get his arse kicked again for spoilin' another end o' the world Surf Tip.
Please don't read this as hate mail...as it is Surfer's Code! Therefore can't be overlooked.
Again! Thought the vid was real special...luv the real time edit from shore to sea.
Add nothing, enjoy everything & leave the ocean in a healthier state...surfjustsurf!

I wonder if Nick Drake ever thought he would perfectly compliment a surf snippet......
Looked like a magic day.
Beautiful spot, great clip.
And Nick Drake is still so under-rated.
beautiful , pure , fun session it would seem !
Hows the exit by the Boogie boarder , hope his knee caps are ok .
Hey TBB , I get your line of thought , hope your going ok ..PC
So it seems there is a good way to pad-out your surfing footage
that gives shape and colour, conveys a vibe, tells a small story,
makes a connection - Nick Von Froth, Koa Rothman (Tim Bonython?) take heed.
Thanks for the craic boys, Loved it. I only hope you're not cooking your golden goose by releasing this on the interweb - sure makes me want to visit ireland and hike down to named spot - notwithstanding blackers warning that sunny glass is a rare commodity in the emerald isle
Yeah. You have to really live there to get it on. Been trying for ages to get it on. You have to be super lucky that the stars align if traveling in on based on chart intel. The good thing is if you miss you can head off to other spots. But you still feel like you 'missed out' given how good it can get.
Very enjoyable.
PCS PeterPan guessed right ...tbb is not well...bipolar is off the charts.

Not blaming the illness...this is tbb's lack of insight!
tbb wishes to set the record straight.
tbb: "There must be more to this story...."
Yes! There is a perfectly good explanation & that makes all the difference!"
But it all takes place off camera?
tbb was right that no surfer would walk over debris...that we all agree!
It was only fair on the lads, to revisit the footage, this time with eyes wide open!
The truth is hidden in plain sight for all to see!
Happy to share that our lads felt the surf stoke & did their good deed.
Yes! Needs repeating!
The Lads never walked over the debris & did their bit!
Sure! It may not look like that, but sometimes the camera plays tricks!
We see the Booger exit just before the Rope mess...then camera is cut ...but why?
The answer lies in the Debris Pile....
We can equally "assume" the lads never walked over the tidal rope pile.
The cam' turned off in order to transfer the said rope to the Local's Pile.
No! We don't get another shot to see such, but tbb is more than willing to tick that!
Reason being that the Bigger Rope Pile Sculpture grows in size as the lads exit.
No it doesn't explain away their Marine Debris Sculpture but the lads did their bit!
tbb is only too happy to apologize & point out the Good Deed from fellow surfers.
Back on board with the crew...tbb has never seen a better surf vid...luv yer work.
Ah, memories. After Lisdoonvarna festival in '79, (To the girls: "Are you lookin' for a man?" yelled the lads in their new wellies aboard their freshly washed tractor crawling the main street) we surveyed the west coast from Dingle to Sligo. Saw this and many other breaks but wrote it off as inaccessible (not even a goat track then) but there are many, many more including soft round points with roll ins, perfect sandy beachies on a few jewel-like islands and the now famous hell breaks. In those days of rudimentary wetties and no hope of rescue, it all looked pretty hard. But the locals? Now there's a fine example of localism built on openness, pure joy for life and a welcome that made us all feel like cousins. They're a fine folk and brave beyond comprehension.
Comfortably the vid of the year.
the dogs were frothing but they didn't hang around
Good vibe. Didn't fancy the shallow rocks when getting out.

Thats better than any wave Vic has got to offer
