Watch: Eimeo Czermak // Unlocked
Eight years ago, John John Florence won the Qualifying Series and coaches everywhere told their pupils to keep their spine upright but their arms low and languid.
The cause was largely hopeless; with muscle memory fixed the advice was academic.
Eight years ago, Eimeo Czerbak was nine-years old, a pre-pubescent lump of clay waiting to be molded, shaped by impression, and in this clip it's clear who created the greatest impression on the young Tahitian.
The back half of the video features solid Teahupoo and, not to detract from Eimeo's ability, but the likeness is uncanny.

Love watching the regular footers charge Chopes.
It watches almost like a Calvin Klein ad but there's no questioning his commitment.
Oh to be young again.
Incredible likeness alright. That drop & pit at 3:20. Insane commitment.
Remember this kids name. He's going to be around for a long time to come.
I've watched this clip about 4 times now which is rare for me. This kid is damn good.
I hope he drops a big cloudbreak clip or even over the NW. His tube riding is sublime.
Insanely good. Hope for a bright future.
