Best way to stop water getting in ear (that is heavily surfers eared)

I found that most plugs don't work when your ear is too far gone because the shape of your ear canal is distorted. You might be hard-pressed to find a water-tight solution that you can hear through well. Even my custom plugs for a motorbike don't seal that well on my worst ear.

'Macks Pillow Soft Earplugs' work best for me, a bit like blue tack. You can use each quite a few times before they loose their slight stickness. Good luck!
