Thanks to everyone still travelling, don't come down to yorkes or any other small coastal communities (eg west coast) in case you can't work it out
you're coming from somewhere with cases of covid19 to a town that doesn't . We have quite a few elderly residents down here and the nearest large hospital in in adelaide . Also a big thanks to all you people from interstate who raced across the border ( mostly viccos) and went to cactus go home to your own state and place of residence, are you people just stupid or just plain selfish

We have had a fairly pro active grouping of the normally at loggerhead surfing groups (Surfing WA and their Boardrider club minions with the Recreational Surfers group and local swimming clubs and beach cafe owners here in the south west with the local shire on side in the name of trying to keep surfing and beach use in action. Signage at beaches and the witches hats also but not closing the carpark , placed in every other bay to essentially halve the size of the problem carpark (re hang outs), most everyone making and effort (well the locals who give a fuck anyhow) ,there are the normal clueless mongs of which many are surprisingly the "surfmom" set, who are mostly fairly new to surfing and the age old hierarchy that used to keep some semblance of order in surfing ie listen to the old boys,dont snake and drop in etc etc, my guess is they think their kids are ok anyhow -wont get sick ??? not sure . The point has settled down a bit but the problems areas now are still evident at the grommet breaks carparks like grunters and gracetown (busy off the charts still).
Little by little anyhow.
Surf and Leave people, give up the spot so everyone can have a surf rather than treat it like school hoildays day at the beach and maybe we can keep surfing for a while.
