Mohamed Elomar - what a evil muslim extremist sick c###t
Blowin, because of 18c, I can't say what I want to say.... My point would not be in my opinion "racist".... But some could interpret it as such.......
But what I can say is that "our" religion has done some pretty shocking things, even in my lifetime.. The IRA bombings of innocent women and children come to mind, as does the Oklahoma bombing....
Imagine a ".com" world a mere 100 years ago......
Young Australian bogan Muslims . Was pretty weird watching the younger guys watch roll there eyes whenever a Muslim women made a comment. And that young guys female lawyer, fuck me ,bleached blonde, bright red lipstick, she'd be one of the first women stoned to death for making a public appearance dressed like that in the New Muslim Australia.
Ehh... Western Suburbs "Bra Boys", Maybe they can look to the Hui to sponsor them.
Agreed Morris, the body language and facial gestures spoke volumes.
And that lawyer, she was just rubbing her hands together thinking of the cash and publicity, with absolutely no idea of what they really thought of her.
yeh I saw it,,,'Insight'.....it was interesting cos we got to see/hear Muslims who were dead against the Islamists....this is a good thing to air. But the young guy who was just starting to grow some whiskers who brought his lawyer along was a pain in the arse, pushing the hard done by Muslim barrow to justify violence.
I guess as the prisons on the East coast are controlled by Muslims as are most of the bike groups Its only a matter of time before heinous crimes are committed in the community in the name of Islam here.......you say no way ?........what about the 2 Muslim guys who chopped up the English soldier in broad day light in England , Jihad they said.... young Muslim bogans like the one who was on Insight have got nothing to loose , so ill guess theyre gonna give it a nudge, just to see wot happens
Re' middle east/Isis/Israel/Hamas/Islam/ poll boost/ metadata etc
Ok, you'd think this Isis thing would be frontpage new all around the world... Or is it only front page news where there is a local agenda? Where multi national media interests like Murdock are invovled, helping the government of the day......
News canada - http://www.canada.com/news/index.html
Wow! Not even on the front page.......
The Rio Times - http://riotimesonline.com/#
Well well well.... Not even on the front page.....
Japan today - http://www.japantoday.com/
Yep.... You guessed it.... Ebola Africa makes it..... But Isis? No where to be seen....
NZ Herald - http://www.nzherald.co.nz/
Wow!!! Who would've guessed!!!! Nothing!!!!!
Unlike these countries from all over the world, we are being softened up for involvement... We are being softened up for metadata laws, and everyone just sits back and sucks it up like brain dead sponges......
Sorry Sheepy, did you say something about brain dead sponges ? I was trying to follow , but just then a pretty butterfly flew past and I lost all focus.
Did you look it up and watch it Blowin?
Well prothero we get to hear from Muslims against Islamist everyday, it was seeing the young bogans that was chilling. I was not surprised at the attitude they had for there Muslim leaders as it is similar to any other Australians attitude towards a politician.
What sort of butterfly, blowin? :)
Not yet Fitzroy. I'm in the middle of the desert getting reception at roadhouses , I'll check it out when I get to civilisation. Cheers mate.
I can't remember what type Sheepy. I saw a funny cloud that looked like a bunny rabbit and by the time I had finished giggling the butterfly was ancient news.
Sbs 1pm
good point sheep dog one needs to be objective about what one reads and where the info comes from, however you do not have to look to hard too see that its not just our media who are highlighting ISIS's negativity..
http://www.spiegel.de/international/
http://www.france24.com/en/
two news sites, one from Germany and one from France.....two countries with big Muslim populations . I find these sites, esp the French one, to provide quite balanced news......going on their info, id say ISIS is a big concern and its not merely a media beat up. ISIS is like the Taliban, radical islam that has a direct impact on people living here.
Shaun, like sheepdog alluded to our media is less than perfect and has a lot to answer for. Most of our media coverage is from an us and them perspective, I dont hear too many Muslims in our press speaking out against Islamists. Is this due to our poor media and its personal interests or is it because they fear for the safety of themselves and their families if they do speak out ?
oh I agree pro' Re' isis is a concern.... No doubt about it.... But Germany and France will more than likely be involved in the next "coalition of the willing" so to speak... Therefore, what are their cornflake munching people being drip fed????
But what is interesting, Pro', is that Canada has a larger islamic population than we do, but are not part of this shitfight.... Their leader doesn't need a boost in the polls atm...... Nothing like a war footing......
Canada islamic population - 1 053 945....... Which is 3.2% of their population....
Australia islamic population - 476 291..... Which is 2.2% of our population....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_Canada
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_Australia
Xenophobia has always worked as a political tool here in Australia...... Don't ask me why.... Apart from the indigenous, we are all descendant from boat people... Plane people....... In fact, some even argue the "indigenous" came here via Africa............ But that's another story
Anyone happen to see Adam Hills "the last leg" show from last week?
http://www.abc.net.au/tv/programs/adam-hills-the-last-leg/
During that show (episode one), Adam sums up his thoughts on all the conflict by reference to a tweet by some dude by the name of Andrew Skegg. That tweet can be found here:
I am not pro-Israel.
— askegg (@askegg) July 31, 2014
I am not pro-Palestine.
I AM pro-humanity.
Stop the killing.#secular #humanist #atheist
It simply says:
"I am not pro-Israel. I am not pro-Palestine. I AM pro-humanity. Stop the killing."
Sheepy, could it be that this stuff (the terrorism threat in Oz on the back of the IS) gets more airplay that say Canada as we have the most populous Muslim nation on our doorstep and the Bali bombing was a neat example of how that can affect Australians?
Or is Canada has more ready access to buds of a very high quality?
Or are other Aussies like me happy to watch terrorism fodder (or poke a rusty nail up the eye of the old feller) rather than another fucking cooking, weight loss, home renovation, bachelor, farmer wants a tart show? That includes the new show - "Irrefutable Proof That Australia Does NOT have Talent".
Damn that vein in my forehead has started to thump again just thinking of that Cram bloke and his pretend chippie act.
Must be beer o'clock.

You reckon it's beer o' clock ? Imagine how that Cram fella feels knowing he's going to have to turn up to work tomorrow and knock up another whiteboard out of a used pallet while the director yells at him to go full retard again. Fuck I'd neck myself.
Then again I'm sure the 2 kilos of gold bullion they would pay him per week would ease his burden considerably.
palmymick.... All I know is that the countries that didn't get too involved in the Iraq invasion under GWB seem not to have copped it in the neck that bad..... Canada, Brazil, New Zealand etc etc etc..... The countries that got involved (Oz, England, France etc) seem to be wearing it.... Now, if you jump into a shit fight at a pub to back up a "mate", even when your mate is in the wrong ( Saddam had nothing to do with Bin Laden) there's a chance that you might cop a hit....
Anyway, Sunni Saddam is gone..... Gee that's worked out well... :/ Now we have a shiite islamic state with a USA backed puppet regime..... And guess what, Some other sunni islamists who dont like the "christian" backed shiite puppet islamists, want to form a.... wait for it..... an islamic state with their own sunni puppets.... But the christian countries who put their islamic puppet in power after Hussein was toppled now want their puppet out as well, because that puppet was a bad puppet, and now the christian countries want to put in a new puppet.....
Don't be alarmed..... I'm sure they know what they're doing...................
UuuuMmmmmmm.
What do you say...?
I wished Muslims never sat foot in Australia, they are absolute menaces to this whole world.
A religion of nothing, go away, go back to where you're from and leave us in peace.
Fuck off.
Fear sells. Peace doesn't sell anything. Therefore media will always spread fear because it drives audience through the roof. They work for profit, not for a nobel cause of delivering the message objectively.
Yorko, blowin, udo, floyd, or anyone with a penchant for real journalism... WW3 dodged in 2007.
Sheepy - I'm getting bursts of service at roadhouses mate. Any chance of a summary ? It would be appreciated.
Blowin - interview with former USA intelligence agent Gwenyth Todd, on how close we came to the "big one" in 2007..... If not for her intervention, boom!!!! She is now in semi hiding, here in Australia.... Heavy shit, blowin.... Pro Israel lobby in Usa, republicans, Iraq, "planted" admirals, Iran...... Heavy shit..... Sorta shit that should be on 60 minutes instead of interviews with Hugh jackman...
Blowin, Insight always seems like the only place on tele where people actually speak their mind and heart. Don't know how they do it. Other panel sort of shows are intellectual or just petty politics.
Anyway, I think that Tarek Said had the wisest words there. The young people need to actually be listened to, for the sake of listening. If people are so easily brainwashed into supporting a violent interp of the Quran, how hard can it be to brainwash them to 'Team Asutralia'? How about not having the upper class, elite, rich whatever telling everyone that we have to join Team Australia for starters. To me, there are clearly identities clashing here and those young guys want to speak for themselves!
If my personal opinion is lost with the tonelessness of short text... give them someone who will listen to them, but also someone who they can identify with and will listen back to. Someone who will make them question themselves. Hopefully they will see that violent Jihad is not the only Jihad.
Watch the link, mitch...... Digest, and give me your thoughts....
Hmmm. Go Team aUStralia! Seriously, I dunno. I was trying to stick to the topic. I just don't have the historical and political depth of knowledge to really discuss the vid.
EDIT: I'd be interested to know though, what the mechanism is for the president to be able to appoint an admiral. Would there be an Australian equivalent? How many degrees of separation are there between the politicians and the defence force? I suppose over there he is the Commander in Chief, but that's not the case with the PM here is it? We should get taught this shit in school really. Oh well, that's western democracy these days, I will argue til I'm black and blue in teh face, for my right to freedom from information! :P
Anyone wanna take a punt on how long the Islamic State lasts in its current, err, state? A country (or whatever you want to call it) founded upon a violent and ever evolving ldeology with no central government and hatred of all that don't share their extreme religious worldview can't have much future. Donations from sympathisers and blackmarket money can surely only go so far.
You've only got to look to Africa to see how long these sort of set ups can party on for. Admittedly in those cases it's usually a dictatorship, but that's what's virtually been established with ISIS. Only the Caliph is descended from Gods right hand man .
Funding would be similar to a D grade Israel with the Muslim diaspora all chipping in for the good times . With maybe even a bit of help through nefarious dealings.
You can imagine the USA attempting to insert a few white ants into the hierarchy though. At the very least.
It will "last" until Iran becomes involved..... I just pray that the democrats win the next election in the USA.... But with non compulsory voting, the extreme right along with Jewish vested interests may buy the election.
If Shiite Iran retaliates against the brutality done to Shiite Iraqis by Sunni extremists, a few beheadings will look tame.....
There will never be peace in the middle east....... Ever...... EVER...... I have my own reasons on why I have come to this conclusion.....
Too much spicey food.
Yes..... yes......... Too much spicy food......... Of course........ How did I miss that........ And the flat bread....... The earth is round..... not flat.........
Here is my two cents: IS will last as long as their caliph does. After he is gone, or whoever is genuinely leading their organisation, the group will splinter and for the most part fade away, leaving behind a few but significant groups trying to keep the party going and many thousands of men, women and children who start to live with the memories of killing and the killed. Similar things happen with terror/separatist groups around the world: JI, MILF, GAM are three I am familiar with.
It has been strange seeing how this has played out. My local MP, a decorated soldier and by no means a dumb-dumb, called the acts of IS as 'barbarity we have not seen since the middle ages'. As someone who was in Indonesia in 1998-1999, and did some work post Dayak-Madurese mayhem in Kalimantan, I can safely tell you that kids holding up the heads of enemies is something that happens more often than the safety of Australia leads us to believe.
Discussing such things is sadly seen as a weakness, or an attempt to lessen the severity of suffering. It is neither, but it should be part of the national discussion. Unfortunately, we don't have anything resembling a national discussion when it comes to war. We just let mission-creep take hold, and once it is going you best get out of the way fast. The sensible comments from Peter Whish-Wilson last week serve as an example of how the media takes to people who question military actions in Australia.
Nice read, danx3
Severed heads makes for good tele, great propaganda, gets the populace all riled up, no question we need to go to war with these guys after seeing that. Tutsi's and hutu's massacring each other with machetes....couldn't give a shit, east Ukrainians getting shelled in the thousands dying at the hands of a coup installed government...couldn't give a shit, thousands of civilians dying in Palestine, including jouno's and aid workers...couldn't give a shit.

Didn't quite pan out that way.
Bad .
