making music clips about surfing: what style?

I started making little surf flics with what music I could find as soundtrack. Got some good ones going, then noted a few on SwellNet and realized some great techniques come up, almost randomly among other clip-makers. What do YOU like in a surf clip (with music)?

I liked the music but didnt think it matched the clip. The clip was good... some interesting editing techniques. BUt for mine i reckon faster music need to go with the clip. If you had some soulful idigenious surfers would of matched better.

Having said that i'm def no expert in this area.
