On the weekend I’ll be shaping a new bigger wave/gun style board with the help of a local shaper. I’ve never shaped a board before and have zero knowledge, the shaper has plenty but modestly advised I look for help on single fin placement. I’m attached to the idea of glassing it in.
The boards going to be 6,4 ish, the tail end is almost 14 3/4” wide 12” up from the end of the diamond tail. About a third of the way up is the widest part of the board and that’s 21”, the nose is fat as. I’m not very advanced and weigh 80kg +. My only real vision for it is that it’ll trim hell nicely.
Basically I’m looking for any advice on fin placement and size? Also any ideas for shapes and styles that could be fun?

Use a fin box for sure is only way to go - Adjustment and Fin changes = Fine Tune.
